I was wondering if any member who reads this post knows the answer to any of the following below.
I was wondering if a federal holiday such as Christmas Day and New Years Day falls on a Saturday than will the mail not be delivered to any business and or residential address the day before these holidays which is a Friday. If Christmas Day and New Years Day falls on a Sunday than does this mean mail will not be delivered to any business and or residential holiday the next day which is a Monday. If mail will still be delivered to any business and or residential address on the Friday before the federal holidays and or the Monday after the federal holidays I mentioned in this paragraph of this post than let me know this.
I asked what I asked in the previous paragraph because I sometimes have a hard time remembering when mail will or will not be delivered to a business and or residential address.
I was wondering is mail still being sorted on a Sunday, federal holiday, after post offices have closed on days they are open, etc by humans and or machines in the USA to where it's going to end up being delivered to in the USA sorted by zip code or by state and if it's sorted by state than when those pieces of mail get to a location in a state than is the mail sorted again by zip code.

I was wondering if any member who reads this post read online or heard on a local news station they watch that there will be changes to the postal service. If any member reads this post and didn't know about the changes to the postal service or did know about the changes to the postal service than what are your thoughts on the postal service changes.
Below is what I have heard from watching a local news station on Monday Dec 5, 2011.
I heard that more than one mail processing centers (I think that is what it's called) will probably be closed, but I don't know what locations will be closed if this does really happen.
I heard that more than one post office probably will be closed, but I don't know which ones.
I heard that First Class mail that people were able to have delivered the next day will no longer be guaranteed to be delivered the next day.
I heard some people who work for the postal service may be layed off.
I heard that for now Saturday delivery service will still be happening.
I don't know when or if any of the changes above will actually happen, but if it does I didn't hear when the postal changes will happen. If anyone knows when any of the above postal changes will happen than it would be nice to know this.

To the member I am quoting are you saying that if a holiday falls on a Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, or Sat when mail would be delivered than for those holidays mail will not be delivered on on any of these days I mentioned if a holiday falls on one of these days. If I am wrong on what I said than let me know this.

How often do you mail letters? To the member I am quoting are you asking any SquishyCash member who reads what you said in the quote I am quoting from you what you asked or are you asking a specific SquishyCash member what you asked in the quote I am quoting from you. Here is my answer to what the member I am quoting asked. I rarely mail any letters to people since I can email people instead. If I do ever mail any letters out to people it is to people who I don't email because these people don't use the internet. I do mail more than one Christmas card out to people who I do email and to people who I don’t email and I have been mailing Christmas cards out for over 5 years, but less than 10 years. I was wondering do other members who read this post also mail out one or more Christmas cards.

I guess the cost of it would be an issue if you often mail letters, for instance.
