Good luck for your daughters at school, school starts really early this year for some reason, HM is a bad role model if you ask me, is she a blonde or brunette? She is teaching girls to dye their hair, and lye about who they are, Her name isn't even miley cyrus, and it is obvious she doesn't write her own songs LOL - I'll take HM as a role model any day over the BRATZ dolls!!!

Well technically the bratz dolls are models, and they have a role in some girls life but not in the life of 5 yr olds going to school, So getting back to the topic, how do your daughters like school?

I agree, the clothes on those BRATZ dolls are barely there. Luckily I have a boy and don't have to worry about things like that, at least until he is old enough to look at girls that wear that kind of clothing. LOL

LOL! SO you get rid of the bratz now and then in the future there won't be any girls who wanted to be them, does your son like school?

Well, the Precious is loving kindergarten - yesterday they played, sang songs, finger painted & took a nap - what's not to like, but the Princess has learned she'll have (horror of horrors) homework this year (2nd grade) and and thinks that is "soooooooo not fair". Since yesterday was the first day, no homework yet, but I'm anticipating a few hissy fits over it. I figure I'll use the 15 min method (set a timer, work on homework for 15 min, then go play for 15 min, hw for 15, play 15, etc. until all done - works on cleaning her room, so.....).
Funny enough - the Princess (the one who really likes HM) actually prefers Miley, which is completely weird for her because normally the more sparkly the better.
As for the Bratz - just try to keep little girls away & they certainly market them to 5 yo's! That's where the whole Baby Bratz comes in! Ah well, I certainly don't believe a doll is going to have a lasting impact on their personalities, heck, she'll prolly already need years and years of therapy just cause the good lord knows I'm one of the worst drama queens alive - LOL! Good thing Southern Beau is a shrink, he keeps us all sane (or makes us all crazy depending on the day)!

Cry? Cry? Not to cast doubts on your sanity (just kidding), but I'm a stay at home, I went to a back to school champagne brunch with a bunch of other stay at homes - heck we celebrated!!! I used to think I would be sad about how fast they grow up, but I find that they get cuter and funnier everytime I turn around! I love watching them develop their own personalities & honestly can't wait to see what they come up with next! I'm gonna try to post a pic - this was taken last spring (I think I may have posted it b4 I have a more recent one from the 4th of July, but that would involve me hauling my derriere (not to mention the laptop) upstairs to scan it in. I swear, these are the girliest girls you have ever seen, I mean, they practically came out of the womb carrying purses and discussing jewelry! The Precious was a master manipulator (in true southern fashion of course) by the time she was a year old, and the Princess has ALWAYS been convinced that she is the boss of everything (see, I'm teaching them well)!

SO if you are teaching them, they don't need school, so you are home schooling them, so youre not a stay at home mom, your a stay at home teacher mom, lol I always wondered what moms really think when they send their children away, maybe that whole graduation party was an excuse to celebrate me leaving, lol, well Kindergarten can be tough, and i h8ed second grade, 4th grade is more layd back, but after 9th everything is easy, glad you had a good summer, and hope they have fun at school (if having fun in 2nd grade is possible)
