When you have it plugged into the computer you use it just like a regular land line. You can make and receive calls. We don't have a landline and the is why we bought it. I have just not plugged it up since I got a new computer so everything just goes to my voice mail.
To the member I am quoting when you said plug it into your phone are you talking about plugging magic jack into a corded or cordless phone and than plugging the other end of magic jack that isn't plugged into a phone into a computer's usb.
How do you use voice mail in magic jack? Can a person record their own voice mail message that anyone who calls the number can hear?
To the member I am quoting if everything goes to your voice mail than does magic jack have unlimited voice mail space or is there a limit to how many minutes of voice mails can be stored with each magic jack number.
Can a person use a magic jack number they are given in any state and or city that is not the city the magic jack number the person was given is for as long as the program that comes with magic jack is downloaded to a computer you want to use magic jack on?
When anyone wants to make or receive a call with magic jack does the computer the magic jack is plugged into have to be turned on?
To the member I am quoting the reason I asked the above questions about magic jack is so that way if a member who reads this thread was thinking about buying a magic jack and getting a phone number from magic jack they would know if they still want to get a magic jack and phone number to go with magic jack after reading this thread with answers to magic jack questions.
