Im so excited!!!!!!

Well today has been probably the best day in such a long time for our household..Not only will we be launching our own site tomorrow, which is cool, but, the coolest was my 8 yr old grandson calling me this afternoon.
He was so excited I had to finally tell him I couldn't understand a word he was saying..so..he slowed down and said...
I get to go to DISNEY WORLD!! Make a wish is sending me!!!

Yep...the Make a wish foundation notified my daughter today that they qualified, and the whole family will be flown to Florida, everything will be paid for, hotel, car, meals, even pay to develop their film. Shawn, Brenda and all 3 kids. It will be official in a couple weeks when they come to see Anthony and ask him what his wish is, and then he tells them to go to disney world.
I tell ya...my daughter got on the phone and I just bawled. I was so happy for them. They have had such a tough 2 years with his health problems. And they so deserve this!

We thought make a wish was only for terminal children, but, it isnt, they also deal with kids who have what they call "life changing" problems. And since he has a brain tumor on the optic nerve and is blind in his left eye, and went through chemo and radiation, he qualifies.

ya know...if you ever want to donate to something worth while..the ronald mc donald house is by far a great place to donate to. they are just awesome. It doesnt have to be monetary, they are always looking for baby and kids things too.
Anyway..if u watch the video..watch my grandsons face..he is such a dork sometimes.

The Ronald McDonald Houses are wonderful to families..They also sent our Daughter when she had her Kidney Transplant!! With all the bills there was just no way we could have afforded it!!

Thanks sooooo much dream!! How is your daughter doing? Im sorry to hear about the transplant and pray she is doing well.
And you are so right about the bills.
Ya know..both kids were working full time, and Bren missed almost the whole year of work, and shawn about half that, they had insurance, but, its not just the medical bills that add up. Its everything, from gas, lodging food etc..as im sure you well know. Im just so thankful for our community here, they had 2 fund raisers for Anthony, which helped so much!
We never realised how hard this was being on the other kids. Steve and I took Kurt up there, and when we were still parking the van the kid was trying to jump out of the van. LOL..he just ran to his mom.
Thats when she decided that Kurt and Ashton were just gonna have to miss some school..so Kurt stayed a week with her and Ashton stayed a week. Was the best thing for them.

Thanks so much everyone! I know what u mean about the tears, every time I think about it i get teary eyed. LOL..And he is such a special little guy. Not just saying that coz he is my grandson, but, everyone who meets him just falls in love with him. I tell ya..the kid just smiles all the time. Even during treatments..never ever cried.

Our daughter is doing wonderful as she is now 19 going on twenty and this happened when she was 9 so she has had it good for about 11 years Thank God!! Hopefully she can get another 20 - 25 more before she needs a new one.
It always helps to be surrounded with Love of friends and family!!
