I'm debating about buying advertising in order to get referrals. By "buying advertising" I mean paying one GPT site to get it's members to sign up under your referral link for another GPT site (does that make sense?). Has anyone else tried this? Have you gotten any active referrals out of it? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the money.

I have not tried PTS yet but ai have done PTC alot and it did work for me. I used my website on the PTC's so that way ppl will check out all my links. Some do and some don't. I got about 20 referrals in a matter of a day or two on just 1 site. I have a cpl sites that are dirt cheap to advertise on and have TONS of traffic. I will send you the links as I am not sure if I can post the, or not.

I also forgot to mention that looking at sites and when they run a PTC contest is a great time to advertise on them. I sent you 2 great cheap links for advertising.

I've done PTS on a few sites, but I haven't had very good luck with ACTIVE referrals from those. I'll have someone that signs up, does one offer and disappears. Also, the older your ad gets the lower down it goes on the page, so if you don't make anything from signups in the first few weeks, you're probably not going to make much. I have ads with 3 or 4 available on a few sites & I wish I could take them off and add the money back to my account! I haven't done the PTC yet, but I'm thinking of doing that with a link to my blog.

If you decide to do PTC pm me and I will give you the links to 2 sites that are dirt cheap and have tons and tons of traffic and members. You get 100+ hits for a buck and I usually get around 250 for my buck.

I've also done PTS advertising on other sites and have had no luck whatsoever. I'm about ready to give up.

I had some banners up for a while. Nothing. None of my referrals from the upgrade have earned anything. Well, 50 cents maybe, lol. I had one that was doing stuff but they quit. I've pretty much given up on referrals and resolved that I won't be making much doing this stuff but I use the money for fun stuff - not part of my income. So as long as I have something coming in, I'm happy. I think I have cashed out or will cashout for about $100.00 over the sites I do this month and that's a pretty good month for me. It's not alot, but it's something I didn't have otherwise. And it goes straight to my travel fund.
