i've been reading up on the free trials and have found that most people have gotten chardged for the "free trial" even before the trial period was over. Does anyone have any suggestions and tips on which "free trials" i should do that won't charge?

Most of all free trials will do what is called a "verification" charge. It must be done to make sure that the credit card is valid and actually holds the money that is needed in the case that you do not cancel before the trial period ends. Most of the time only $1.00 is taken out, but some times it is the full amount of what the membership would cost. If they didn't do this, then how would they know if some one is giving a correct credit card with the money that the holder is claiming to have on it? It's not actually a charge, but it will show up on your card as one. The verification process is reversed usually in a few days to a week. You'll get your money back, but technically, the money is still there...it's simply seeing if your credit card company will accept the request, and then the charge will reverse automatically when the company does. There is no "supposed" free trials. If the company states that you will not be charged during the duration of the trial (and the verification does not count as a charge), then you won't be. If they actually did illegally charge you and you don't get your money back, then you have every right to sue the heck out of that company. P.S. I have yet to come across anyone on SquishyCash that has had an issue with a wrongful charge with the companies that this site solicits. If this does, however, happen to you or anyone else, the best thing to do would be to call the company's customer service to get the charge removed. If it had been a mistake, I'm sure that they will fix it.
