Firefox has a new update for their browser. They keep asking you to update until you "weaken" ...meanwhile the previous version won't work properly.

I still have Firefox 4 and haven't updated to Version 5 even though it keeps reminding me via pop up reminder. Are you talking about a new update from version 4 to version 5 or a minor update of version 5?

To the OP I am quoting what is happening for you with the version of FF that you are using for it to not work properly for you. To the OP I am quoting how long has it been since the version of FF you are using hasn't been working properly for you. mine stopped working altogether and now I cant even download it... my antivirus protection keeps stopping it so I have given up on it for now. To the member I am quoting how long has it been since the version of FF you are using stopped working altogether for you. To the member I am quoting when you said now I can't even download it are you talking about redownloading FF or just upgrading the version of FF you were using when it stopped working for you altogether. To the member I am quoting what is your antivirus protection doing for it to make FF stop working for you. I still have Firefox 4 and haven't updated to Version 5 even though it keeps reminding me via pop up reminder. Are you talking about a new update from version 4 to version 5 or a minor update of version 5? To the member I am quoting why have you not updated the FF version you are using to FF version 5. Just so anyone who reads this post knows when I downloaded FF a 2nd time on a computer I use one day in the past 1-2 weeks I did download FF version 5, but the first couple days on and after I downloaded FF a 2nd time on a computer I use FF wouldn't let me go to any websites. As of this post FF only will show a homepage I have chosen to show up when I click on FF and not let me go to any other websites.

Have you tried completely uninstalling FF first before re-installing it?

This post is for the member stealth3si.
Here is my anser to what you asked below. Why did you ask me the following below? I did uninstall FF before re-installing it. I have always thought that in order to re-install a program on a computer that program had to be removed from the computer so that is why I said what I said about I did uninstall FF before re-installing it.
Have you tried completely uninstalling FF first before re-installing it?

Did you completely uninstall Firefox though? Try downloading and using a uninstaller program. To the member I am quoting what do you mean by completely ininstall Firefox. Are you saying that if anyone who uses a Windows computer and uninstalls a program from the Add or Remove Programs feature on a computer under Control Panel than that person didn't completely uninstall the program or did you mean something else when you said did you completely uninstall Firefox. To the member I am quoting what did you mean by try downloading and using a uninstaller program. Are you saying to try downling Firefox while I am using a uninstaller program or did you mean something else when you said try downloading and using a uninstaller program. To the member I am quoting what is a name of a uninstaller program that you are referring to when you said try downloading and using a uninstaller program.
