This is to the member stealth3si.
The following below is what I was trying to ask you in the post I posted in this thread on Aug 11, 2011.
How is the following thing I said in another post in this thread how uninstalling a program from a computer works? What I am asking is why does the following thing I said happen when someone uninstalls a program on a Windows computer.-.Are you saying that if anyone who uses a Windows computer and uninstalls a program from the Add or Remove Programs feature on a computer under Control Panel than that person didn't completely uninstall the program or did you mean something else when you said did you completely uninstall Firefox.

Because leftover settings from a previous install may corrupt the new data so that it won't work properly.

To the member I am quoting why would there be leftover settings from a program that was uninstalled uisng the Add or Remove feature under Control Panel on a Windows computer. What are one or more settings you are referring to when you said leftover settings in the quote I am quoting from you? To the member I am quoting you said in another post in this thread that you have used Revo Uninstaller and I was wondering is this program free to use and if it is than how long have you been using Revo Uninstaller and why is a program such as Revo Uninstaller better to use than uisng the Add or Remove feature under Control Panel on a Windows computer to uninstall a program.

There are too many specific settings to exemplify but programs usually leave traces of itself on the computer. Bad habit I guess?
Revo Uninstaller should be free to use. I forgot. Why don't you go the website to check it out? I've been using for well over a year and removes things that the default one does.

To the member I am quoting why do programs usually leave traces of itself on a computer after they are uninstalled. Is there a way for a person to know what was left from a uninstalled program on a Windows computer. If there is a way for a person to know what was left from a uninstalled program on a Windows computer than is it hard to find where the things that were left after a program was uninstalled is or are located. To the member I am quoting why did you decide one day to download Revo Uninstaller. If Revo Uninstaller removes things that the default one does on a Windows computer than why would someone want to use Revo Uninstaller on a Windows computer if they can use the Add or Remove feature under Control Panel to uninstall a program. To the member I am quoting when I checked to find out more about Revo Uninstaller I believe I saw something about this program being a trial. If you check the website where Revo Uninstaller can be downloaded from and you also see that this program is a trial version than how were you able to use Revo Uninstaller for over a year.

1. Poor/lazy programming? An uninstaller program should be able to show you what was left over.
2. I was curious.
