lan is local area network. To the member I am quoting what does a lan have to do with the speed of a network. To the member I am quoting what is the purpose of a lan and does every internet service provider have a lan no matter what type of internet service it is (such as cable, dial up, Wi-Fi, etc). To the member I am quoting is a lan determined by the IP address of an internet service or is lan determined by something else.

it travels over electrical or radio signals. To the member I am quoting how does data do what you said in the quote I am quoting from you. To the member I am quoting is data from a network the only thing that travels over the things you mentioned in the quote I am quoting from you. If data from a network is not the only thing that travels over the things you mentioned in the quote I am quoting from you than what other type(s) of data can travel over the things you mentioned in the quote I am quoting from you.
