Local TV stations allocate a channel for each town/city. To the member I am quoting how do you know what you said in the quote I am quoting from you. To the member I am quoting when you said local TV stations in the quote I am quoting from you than are you referring to TV stations such as NBC, CBS and ABC. I was wondering if any member who reads this post knows if there is a difference between a network and station when referring to TV. I asked what I asked in this paragraph of this post because I know that some channel numbers on TVs say Food Network, TBS and I believe the S in TBS stands for station, etc.

This is to the member ripburn.
I was told the following by another member in a post reply in this thread subject on Sept 5, 2011 and I was wondering if the person or people who pay for the TV service you watch had to do the following to be able to have the TV service play in HD.-Order high-definition service to watch in HD.
I was wondering what makes HD TV better quality when a person watches TV in HD than if a person doesn't watch TV in HD.
Do you have to press the HD zoom button on the remote you use for a TV you watch each time you want to watch TV in HD?

To the member I am quoting if you are able to answer this than I was wondering if a TV was already turned on and that TV was playing without HD and another one was already turned on with HD pying than would you be able to know which TV was playing in HD. To the member I am quoting if you can watch TV in HD than why do you have to press the HD zoom button on a TV remote you use each time the TV is turned on and you want to watch it in HD.

I was wondering if any member who reads this post knows how and why the following happens with TV sitcom shows.
What I would like to know is how are people who you hear laughing in one or more TV sitcom shows where you don’t see any live studio audience added to the TV sitcom show and how does one or more people who works behind the scenes of a TV sitcom show able to decide when people watching that TV sitcom should hear people laughing.
What I would like to know is why would one or more people who works behind the scenes of a TV sitcom show want to add people laughing during the TV sitcom show when people watching the TV sitcom show don’t see a live studio audience when watching that TV sitcom.

I was wondering if any member who reads this post knows how the following works on game shows, competition TV shows, etc.
What I would like to know is how is the producer of game shows such as Wheel of Fortune, Deal or No Deal, 1 VS 100, etc able to pay the contestants of these type of game shows money they won.
I was also wondering how is the producer of competition TV shows such as Americas Got Talent, competition food shows, etc able to pay the winner of these types of TV shows $10,000 or more.

I was wondering if any member who reads this post has ever used an antenna to watch TV with. If any member does say they have done this than how many channels could you receive doing this.
I was wondering if any member who reads this post had to buy a converter box (I believe that is what it is called) in order to continue to watch TV when analog TV switched to digital TV.
I was wondering what members thoughts are on analog TV switching to digital TV.
Here are my answers to what I asked above.
I have never used an antenna to watch TV.
I didn't have to buy a converter box for either of the two TVs I was using in the month and year that analog TV switched to digital TV even though both TVs I owned were tube TVs (I believe tube TV is the name of the type of TV I was using to watch TV with).
When I first found out that analog TV was going to be switched to digital TV I wasn't sure if either tube TVs I was using at that time would still work when analog TV switched to digital TV, but I was glad that both tube TVs I was using when analog TV switched to digital TV did work without having to buy a converter box for either or both TVs for me to continue to watch TV.

I was wondering if any member who reads this post knows how the following below works on game shows.
What I would like to know is if a game show offers prizes that are merchandise such as a TV, digital camera, etc; a trip to one or more places within the USA or to another country; a car; etc that is not money than how does the producer of that game show able to offer the prizes on that game show that a person or people could win. Does the producer of a game show who wants to offer merchandise as a prize have to contact the manufacturer of that merchandise to see if someone who works for the company will allow a product of theirs to be aired on their game show; when a trip is offered on a game show than does the producer of that game show have to contact someone in the state, city, country, etc to see if they are willing to allow the trip prize to be aired on a game show; if a car is being offered as a prize on a game show than does the producer of that game show have to contact the manufacturer of the car they want to offer on a game show to see if someone who works for that car company will allow a certain car to be offered on a game show as a prize.
I was wondering if any member who reads this post has ever heard that if a person wins a prize that is cash and or a prize(s) that is not cash having to pay taxes on the value of the prize(s) the person won. If I am right on what I said in this paragraph of this post than why do people who win in a prize(s) on a game show that is cash and or prize(s) that is not cash have to pay taxes on either thing they won and does the taxes have to be paid first before the money and or non money prize(s) can be given to the person or people who won them on a game show.
