I was wondering if any member who reads this post knows the answers to any of the following below related to how landline phone services work
What I would like to know is why some landline phone companies caller ID feature will show the state the call was made from and not unknown, the name of the company or persons name as to who is paying for the landline phone service, etc.
I was wondering how taxes and other charges that are not the cost of the landline phone service plan a person is paying for are determined for a landline phone service.

If any member who reads this post has ever used Magic Jack that it would be nice of you to answer what you know the answer(s) to below.
I was wondering is Magic Jack considered a landline phone service.
I was wondering if any member who reads this knows why the owner(s) of Magic Jack can offer a phone service for less than $20 a year.
I was wondering does the cost of Magic Jack include taxes and other charges or is taxes and other charges added to the cost of Magic Jack to make it cost over $25 a year. I asked what I asked because I know with landline phone services I have used I believe taxes and other charges are added to those phone bills so it costs more per month for the landline phone service I am referring to in this paragraph of this post that is not Magic Jack than what I was told it would cost per month.
I was wondering why cable internet is needed to use Magic Jack.
I was wondering can a cordless phone be used with Magic Jack and can more than one phone that is not a cell phone be used with Magic Jack.
