I was wondering if anyone who reads this post has ever had a fan motor go bad in a computer they have used. If what I asked in this paragraph has ever happened to anyone who reads this post than was it a desktop or laptop computer this happened with. I asked what I asked in this paragraph because I believe it was a fan motor in a desktop computer I am currently using that went bad one day this week and needed to be replaced.
Just in case anyone who reads this was wondering the fan motor that needed to be replaced sounded as though the disc drive was running when no disc was in the disc drive.
I was told by someone who fixes computers for a job that a computer has to be set to sleep or standby depending on what version Windows is being used and not left on screensaver when not in use or not turned off. I was wondering why sleep or standby is better for a computer than just having a screensaver show up when the computer has been idle for a certain amount of time.
Why does the light on a computer desktop flash if it's in sleep or standby?

I was wondering if anyone who reads this post has had the problem below.
The problem I have had for more than 3 month is when I turn on the desktop computer I use is it says Your computer might be at risk. No firewall is turned on.
I asked the above because I do have the firewall turned on.
If anyone knows what could cause the above to happen when I turn on the desktop computer I use than that would be nice of you to answer what I asked above.

I wasn't sure if the following thing I wanted to know should be asked in this thread topic or in the Website Questions thread topic or a different thread topic. Since what I wanted to know has something to do with computers than I thought maybe this thread topic would be a good place to ask the following in.
I was wondering if anyone else has noticed when they clear cookies in a browser and you have more than one browser page open that sometimes only the browser page you cleared cookies in gets cleared and sometimes all the browser pages that are open at the same time all get cleared when one browser page is cleared of cookies.
If the above thing has not happened to anyone who reads this post and has cleared cookies in one browser page when more than one bowser page has been opened than it's ok to share this.
If what I started this post about has happened to anyone else who reads this post than why does what I mentioned happen if I clear cookies in one browser page while I have other browser pages open at the same time.

I was wondering if anyone who reads this post has ever used the disk defragmenter feature on a computer. If you have ever used the disk defragmenter feature on a computer than is the disk defragmenter feature on a computer just used with Windows computers.
If anyone does say they have used disk defragmenter on a computer than what is the point of using disk defragmenter on a computer if disk defragmenter doesn't give the computer this is used on more free space so that computer can have more things added to it such as from program downloads.
If anyone does say they have used disk defragmenter on a computer than did you ever get get something about some items in the volume cannot be defraged or something similar to this. If you have also seen something similar to what I am asking in this paragraph of this post than does anyone know why what I asked happens.

Why does the light on a computer desktop flash if it's in sleep or standby? What exactly do you mean by fan motor? A disc drive? Have you tried putting machine oil on it? If it's some sort of ball bearing fan that spins then a simple lubrication may be all you need to fix it. Putting it on sleep or standby should be used if you're using the computer through out the day and going back and forth constantly. Otherwise, turn it off.

To the member I am quoting I thought that desktop and laptop computers have a fan put inside them that runs to keep the desktop and laptop computers cool while in use. If I am right on this than I guess what makes the fan run I consider as a motor. To the member I am quoting what did I say for you to say disc drive? To the member I am quoting I had not tried putting machine oil on the computer I use for the problem I mentioned having in the quote you quoted from me. I have never heard of machine oil. If I wanted to use machine oil on a computer than where would I put it on the computer and what type of brick and mortar store could I buy machine oil from and does it say machine oil on the bottle or container. To the member I am quoting what is a ball bearing fan? To the member I am quoting when you said turn it off than are you saying if a computer is not going to be used for more than 5 hours than it should be turned off. If I am wrong on what you meant by turn it off than let me know this. To the member I am quoting or to anyone else who reads this post I put the desktop tower that I was having the problem I mentioned having in the quote in this post on it's side so that way the desktop tower isn't standing up and I did this more than 2 weeks ago and the problem I mentioned having in the quote in this post seems to not happen very often or at all.

Any hardware store, even Walmart perhaps, should sell oil lubrication for sewing machines or machines. Look for something like "3-in-one Multipurpose Oil." A computer case fan should have a sticker or something that covers the hole where you'd drip the oil into the ball bearing for the motor.
Google "ball bearing fan."
And turn the computer off.
Just make sure the case has air exhaust and don't cover any holes in the case where air should be coming in or out.

To the member I am quoting when you said computer case fan than what is a computer case fan. Are you saying that a computer case fan should have a sticker or something that covers the hole where you'd drip the oil into the ball bearing for the motor or are you saying something else in this sentence of this paragraph of this post. If I am right on what you meant by computer case fan in the 2nd sentence of this paragraph of this post than why should a computer case fan have a sticker or something that covers the hole where you'd drip the oil into the ball bearing. If a sticker has to be removed to add oil to the ball bearing than how does a person cover the hole again where the oil is added to the ball bearing. To the member I am quoting why did you say turn it off? Are you saying turn it off as referring to turning off the computer before adding machine oil to a computer motor or are you referring to something else when you said turn it off. To the member I am quoting when you said just make sure the case has air exhaust and don't cover any holes in the case where air should be coming in or out than are you referring to just desktop computers when you said what I am asking in this paragraph of this post or are you also referring to laptop computers as well. What is a air exhaust?

The computer case fan is the fans inside the computer case. Just put the sticker back over the hole after you drip it. But you want to turn off the computer before you do this.

I was wondering if anyone who reads this post who ever tried to rename a file or folder on a computer has ever seen something that said Error Renaming File or Folder and than under that it says Cannot name (than it says what the file or folder name is that it cannot rename) : It is being used by another person or program. Close any program that might be using the file and try again.
Why would files I try to rename say it is being used by another person or program when the files I am trying to rename are not open?
If anyone who reads this post has ever seen the error message I said I saw when I tried to rename files than do you know why what I mentioned in the first paragraph of this post happens.
Just so others who read this post know what I mentioned in the first paragraph of this post seems to happen the most often to me when I want to rename video files that I took myself from both digital cameras I own.

A file that is in use by another source does not necessarily have to be open. It could be in use by another process that is trying to read the info of that video file in question, like attempting to "preview" it or retrieve video/audio info.

Source = any thing that is executable.
My previous second sentences explains your second question.
Process = (try looking into your task manager and you will see all the processes)
Your fourth question deals with a bit more complicated computer tasks.
