When a computer freezes I either wait for the source to respond or hit the power/reset button. To the member I am quoting when you wait for the source (what do you mean by source when referring to a computer) to respond when a computer freezes up on you than how long do you wait to see if the source will respond on its own. To the member I am quoting is the power button on a computer the same thing as the reset button. If the power button and reset button on a computer are not the same thing than what makes them different and where is the reset button located on a computer if the reset button is not the power button.

I was wondering if any member who reads this post has ever noticed the following below when turning on and or off a computer.
What I have noticed is sometimes if not all the time if I turn on and or off the desktop computer I use I can still hear a beep noise or something similar to this even when I have the desktop computer on mute. The reason I said on mute is because I don't believe the external speakers I bought to use with the desktop computer I use has something on it that can be used to turn on and off the speakers, but the speakers I bought does have something round that you can turn to the right or the left to turn the volume on the speakers up or down. I do know some speakers that are used with desktop computers have something on the speakers that lets a person turn the speakers on and off.
If any member who reads this post also says they hear a beep or something similar to this when they turn on and or off a computer when the sound on the computer is turned off than do you know why this happens.

That sound comes from the mobo. To the member I am quoting what is mobo. What does mobo have to do with the sound I said I hear in the post I posted in this thread on October 20, 2011?

I was wondering if any member who reads this post knows the answer to the following below.
I know someone who told me one day in Nov 2011 that the computer this person is currently using has 2GB of space to store pictures and other things on the computer this person is using and this person said they knew this because of using a Live Chat tech support where people who work for this Live Chat tech support are able to take over a persons computer. When I told someone else that I know about what I was told about this person saying they have 2GB on the computer they are using and how this person knew this or something similar to this and the person and I didn't think a computer could have only 2GB on it to store things on it or something similar to this when the computer this person said it has 2GB on it to store things on it was bought after 2003.
The person I am referring to in the 2nd sentence of the previous paragraph told me yesterday that this person saw something on the computer this person uses that said something about 2GB of space or a GB amount over 2 on the computer this person uses and when I looked up online yesterday how much memory does xp have the search result showed results about RAM and one way for me to know how much memory I have on the computer I use was to go to Start, than right click My Computer and than click on Properties and after I did this I saw that the computer I am using says 0.99 GB RAM.
What I would like to know about what I said above about the computer I am using having 0.99 GB of RAM is why would a computer have less RAM on it than hard drive space (I think hard drive space is where pictures and other things are stored on a computer).

That 2GB storage is probably on a portable media storage device.

That 2GB storage is probably on a portable media storage device. To the member I am quoting why did you say what you said in the quote I am quoting from you. To the member I am quoting when you said portable media storage device are you referring to a external hard drive or something else. If I am right on what one portable media storage device is than the person who I was referring to in the post I posted in this thread on Nov 21, 2011 that said this person was told by someone who works for a Live Chat tech support that the computer this person is using has 2GB on it to store pictures and other things doesn't own a portable media storage device.

It's more common that the storage in question is external.

like a usb drive or thumb stick. To the member I am quoting I was wondering since you said usb drive and thumb stick in the quote I am quoting from you than do you know what the difference between a usb drive and thumb stick is. To the member I am quoting why is a usb drive and or thumb stick what you were referring to in the following thing you said in a post in this thread on Nov 23, 2011.-It's more common that the storage in question is external. To the member I am quoting or to any member who reads this post I was wondering what the most GB of storage space a usb drive and thumb stick can have on them.

usb drive can refer to a HD or SSD that is external. thumb stick refers to those small flash drives. To the member I am quoting is HD hard drive. To the member I am quoting what does SSD stand for. To the member I am quoting why is a thumb stick also considered a flash drive. If I am wrong on a thumb stick also being considered a flash drive than let me know this.
